Summary

On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob share their thoughts on the Los Angeles Chargers' ugly win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football. It didn't look like either team wanted to win that game. On the plus side, we can all rest a little bit easier knowing that stud quarterback Justin Herbert won't be shackled by the wildly mediocre Anthony Lynn. Plus, CBS Sports analyst Danny Kanell swings by to explain how he ended up being a star quarterback at Florida State even though he didn’t start playing football until his junior year of high school, how playing baseball and basketball as a youth helped make him a better football player, why he believes Trevor Lawrence should be excited about the possibility of getting drafted by the New York Jets, why he’s so excited for this weekend is SEC championship game between Alabama and Florida, why he believes this would’ve been the perfect year to have an expanded College Football Playoff field, why he doesn't expect Cam Newton to be the New England Patriots starting quarterback next season, why he believes Jim Harbaugh will be back at Michigan next season, and much more! Later, Jason closes the show with a very special College Football and NFL Weekend edition of the Best Bet. He's been riding a hot streak as of late so you better get on the money train!

Right a December 18th struggle to go to bed last night folks. Oh my goodness I was on the struggle bus watching the chargers and rob G's Raiders.

2:21.7

2:29.7

Oh they warm warm my heart love those and let's not forget Danny cannell a really good interview coming up shortly will quickly recap chargers Raiders and get to Danny cannell and then a special best bet folks.

2:44.7

I went a little hog wild because we're hot I want seven of eight. The numbers are looking good.

2:50.7

Get some extra Christmas spending money I made three college football bets. I know we haven't done those in forever and then a slew of NFL plays teasers totals the whole everything you're going to love it but first we've got to start with the mess the utter disaster.

3:08.7

That was Anthony Lynn and the chargers trying to put away Marcus Marriota and the Raiders Marriota came in relief for Derek Carr who looked like he just pulled his groin scrambling to get in the end zone the first quarter first drive.

3:25.7

It's weird but I don't know about I'll I'll let you chime in and say Rob G. I thought Marcus Marriota looked tremendous in this game and we hadn't seen him in action what like a year he got bench somewhere middle of the way last year in Tennessee.

3:39.7

Danny had lit it up and then he comes out and I mean I was done Marriota really looked sharp the interception late in the fourth quarter hurt obviously it was a little behind Aguilar he got a hand on it but that was really the only bad play I thought I saw from Marriota in three plus quarters.

3:59.7

I didn't love the play calls at the goal line now I don't know if that's on Marriota the OC you don't look at Derrick Waller once like thank you for that I was just stunned you're throwing it to a full back on third and goal and overtime like very very puzzling.

4:15.7

But overall Marcus Marriota was tremendous like 17 to 28 to 26 he ran nine times for 88 yards a lot of RPO stuff obviously the chargers had not to practice for him so I mean I mean Marriota was running one on one in the open field with guys and he was he was clowns shooting him so really good performance in relief he didn't get the window because Justin Herbert was tremendous despite the best efforts from Anthony Lynn and the money badger.
