We had a chance to talk with Michael Jr.

He has a Christian comedian, and he's in a movie that's coming out this weekend entitled War Room.

Looks like a great movie.

And he is very, very funny.

We had a great time talking to him.

We'll start this interview off talking about quote unquote.

I'm doing air quotes here, but you can't see it. Quote unquote, Christian comedy. What does that mean and how does he feel being known as a Christian comedian? First of all, I do comedy and a lot of people refer to me as a Christian comedian, which I'm fine with, but I've been on a late night, you know, Comedy Central, Jay Leno, tonight show. I've been on all that stuff before. What happens is when you say, when somebody introduces me as a Christian comedian, first of all, everybody lowers their expectations, which is actually an advantage for me, right? But if I, like, if I'm on an airplane, I tell him the guy next to me is sitting there, he says, what do you do for a living? And I said, I do comedy.

The next, within the next three sentences,

he actually uses a curse word just about every single time,

which means they have some assumptions about how a comedian talks and communicate because they assume comedy is dirty.

But then if I sit next to somebody and it comes up that I'm a Christian,

they either get really quiet, things get creepy, or they start evaluating their life.

Like, people are going to make assumptions either way.

So this movie is done by Christians, it's by no...

Like, the whole thing is completely Christian and is good.

Even... I know it sounds where to say even though

but it's actually a good movie like I've seen the movie probably three times now and I actually

laughed out loud and teared up every single time and um so I'm not and I'm not just saying that

...
