Hello friends, this is Scott Paul.

Normally when I record my daily broadcast,

I'm doing that from my study.

Today I am seated at the Compass House.

This is where our team works out of,

and we're grateful to God for a place

where we can provide content

to help people study the Word of God and grow in their faith.

And I wanted to have a special few moments with you today to talk with you as we prepare for the new year

on how we can help you to take your next steps in the new year and you can help us to take the next steps in the new year.

You know, that's the way God designed it, that we all need the Lord, but we need one another.

And we trust we're being a help to you, moving you forward in your faith, and we know you're

being a great encouragement and help to us.

I'd like to read a scripture to you from 3 John.

That's one of the little books of the New Testament, I think, that is sorely neglected.

But John writes to a man by the name of Gaius, and he says this in verse number six,

which have borne witness of thy charity before the church, whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well.

All of us know that life is a journey, and along the journey, God puts people in your path to help

you move forward, to move you along to the next mile marker. I can testify personally.

Through the years, so many people have been used by God to help me keep moving forward and taking my next step.

He continues in this same letter in verse number eight by saying,

we therefore ought to receive such that we might be fellow helpers to the truth.
