Summary
In response to former President Donald Trump’s lies about a stolen election in 2020, many state legislatures implemented new laws restricting voter access to curtail the non-existent fraud. Will this make it harder for registered Americans who are legally allowed to vote to cast their ballots in November? USA TODAY Democracy Reporter Erin Mansfield and her colleagues have spent the last five months digging into legislation and rule changes across the country. She joins The Excerpt to share her team's reporting on how these moves will impact voters.
