0:00.0 | Hey, everyone. Welcome to the Bruce Lee podcast. Thanks for joining me for this solo episode on |
0:06.8 | this very special day. I recently talked with a number of guests during AAPI month about what |
0:15.4 | a warrior is and how they show up as warriors in their own lives. And I loved those conversations |
0:23.9 | and hearing about their experiences, the knowledge they had to pass on, what they've learned and |
0:30.0 | used in their own lives. And I hope that you enjoyed that too. So now, in remembrance of my father, |
0:37.8 | this July 20, 2021, the 48th anniversary of his passing, I am hoping to take you on a little bit |

0:57.7 | I've been pondering his writings, researching, reading, sitting with and putting together some |
1:03.5 | thoughts that I am excited to share with you. I hope you enjoy the journey. Here we go. |

2:09.7 | layers and levels to everything in life. So I want to talk about what we're really getting down to |
2:16.9 | at the most sort of spiritual, deeply practiced level. So we have a t-shirt in our store that says on |
2:30.1 | the front, warrior up, and it has non-jacks on the front as it should. And on the back, it has this |
2:38.4 | long paragraph that talks about what a warrior is. And it says, warriors protect the vulnerable and |
2:49.6 | our servants of civilization and its future. Warriors master themselves to overcome weakness of |
2:58.2 | character and personal desire. They are devoted to a cause greater than themselves and have the |
3:05.1 | discipline to change their behavior for the sake of honorable ends. The embrace a journey of self |
3:12.6 | discovery, not only for their own enlightenment, but for the benefit of their communities. |
