Hello, Prestige Heads and welcome to American Prestige.

I'm Danny Bessner, here as always with my friend and comrade, Derek Davison, and we're here to give you a special update on Israel's attack on Iran.

0:19.0

Derek, I guess the first thing to do is what do we know,

0:22.4

what are the brass attacks here? So early morning Saturday in Tehran, so around 215, I think

0:32.8

most outlets are saying now there were reports of explosions. The Israeli military then issued a

0:44.4

statement saying that it was striking military targets in Iran. This is in response, of course,

0:51.5

to the Iranian missile attack on Israel earlier this month, which was in

0:57.0

response to the assassination of Ismail Hania in Tehran before that, and we can go on and on back to

1:04.6

the beginning of time, really. But most immediately, of course, this cycle is about the Iranian attack earlier this month, and this is the response to that.

this was a three-wave strike.

1:53.4

The first wave, according to the Israelis,

1:57.2

targeted Iranian air defenses.

1:59.5

The second and third waves is targeted, basically missile

2:03.9

manufacturing facilities, so the places where the Iranians would have assembled the ballistic

2:10.6

missiles that they used earlier this month, other military facilities, possibly drone facilities, they refer to it as weapons production sites,

2:22.9

so possibly, you know, with something to do with Iran's drone program. The effect is still

2:31.9

hard to piece out and given the media environment we we may never really know

2:37.3

but as i say the iranians have dismissed the strikes for the most part as having been ineffectual

2:43.3

they have said that four i believe is the latest word initially it was two but four now soldiers
