| 0:00.0 | From Bokrotome, Florida, this is Behind the Bima. On this episode, the rabbis and special guest host, Rebitsyn Yochever-Gulberg, are joined by Lisa Elephant, founder of Adopt-A Shadkhah. Also, the Goldberg discussed their experiences in making Shadochim. All this and more, Behind the Bima. Good evening. It is Wednesday. I am Rabbi Ehrm from Goldberg, joined by a special guest host, hostess, the one, the only, the great, the much better half. Rebitt Sine Yehebukh Goulberg And we are here to take you behind the Bima. Behind the Bima. I would give that like a maybe like a six out of ten. I don't know. I could use a little work. But we are here to take you behind the Bima. I am so excited whenever Yechabwe joins me as a co-host on Behind the Bima is always a great joy. I want to thank our generous sponsors, |
| 0:55.9 | our good friends, Danielle and Avi Aronovitz, Lisa and Eli Hecht, with their children, Rebecca |
| 1:01.0 | and Hoodie, Yoni, Kobe, and Miri, Rebecca Jacob, Elisa, all in honor of their father and |
| 1:06.5 | Poppy's birthday. A very happy birthday to Larry Iram, a special occasion, a happy birthday, |
| 1:11.5 | wishing you a lot of nach from your amazing family and a lot of good health and happiness and |
| 1:16.4 | joy and brahma. |
| 1:17.6 | Thank you so much for your generosity and sponsorship. |
| 1:19.5 | And Yehavid, why is tonight a perfect night for Danielle and Avi to be sponsoring? |
| 1:25.4 | Danielle is a very big shachan and has made many Shizohm and is extremely involved in Shudahim |
| 1:31.7 | and really dedicates so much of her life and her time, even though she has another job and she |
| 1:37.4 | has a family and has a lot going on. |
| 1:40.3 | She still makes it a huge priority in her life to make Shudhachim and to be involved in Shudahim. |
| 1:44.8 | And it is very fit and very appropriate that she's sponsoring with her siblings and her children. |
| 1:50.7 | This, you know, beautiful episode with Lisa Elephants, who is also, obviously, the leader of Adopt to Shadhaqin. |
| 1:57.9 | So she also dedicates her life to Shazachan. |
| 1:59.9 | Absolutely. |
| 2:00.6 | And we're grateful to Danielle for all of our hard work in that area and generosity. Yes. Tonight, I'm behind the Bima. And another reason tonight is a really appropriate time. And this was not by design that we have Lisa on. And we're going to talk a lot about Shiduchim and Adopt to Shadhan, although we could speak forever and ever and never |
| 2:17.8 | be done with this topic. Because tonight is a beautiful Le Chaheim in our community of two people. |
| 2:22.6 | They had a Shadhan extraordinaire. Who set them up, the Lechayim, the vort that's taking, |
| 2:27.3 | that took place tonight? |
| 2:30.2 | Yes, I did set them up. |
| 2:32.1 | Ah, yours truly, Yechavid, is the shot. What number Shedach is that? So it's actually very interesting because in my prime when I was single and we're newly married. You told me you haven't hit your prime yet. It wasn't my prime, but in the many years ago when I was still single, I guess in my, in my low 20s. I made a few on my own. We made a couple together. And so we've done, I think, five, I guess, between the two of us. And then we went for over 20 years with zero. And that's not for lack of trying, because I've been involved in Sheduchin since being Rebittson. I mean, that was part of kind of like, you know, being Rebittson, being involved in community. You try to help your singles and help families, and part of that is setting up their children. And, you know, I've tried, now more recently, as my daughters get older, and they're getting married, and they have single friends, I've tried to set up their friends and, you know, our sons-in-law's friends. And, you know, we've really been trying and zero success. And now, Barakashem, a couple from the community who, it's really amazing because they didn't know each other in the community. And they both grew up here, one a little later, moved more recently. But and then went to high school here and then went off to Erisissel to learn. She's in Madjuchai. He's learning in the mirror and set them up in Israel, which was definitely a challenge with a time difference. But Barach Hashem, there are so many great things. Amazing things that come out of the story. Number one is even if there's a long break between successful Shadoukhim, don't give up, don't be disheartened, don't stop trying. 20 year dry spell, a 20 year batting 04, whatever the number was. You can attest to how much I work on it. I can attest with a lot of frustration and a lot of times that you thought you knew better than the singles who did not agree to keep going out. |
