So this episode, signing day is come and gone. I don't want to spend too much time on recruiting. I think a lot of people enjoyed our podcast with Barton Simmons of 24-7 sports

last week. But just to put a finer point, Notre Dame's class finished 19th on 24-7, 21st

on rivals, 14th on ESPN. And I think one of the amazing

perceptions of this group is that it was a really good class, despite its ranking being down

there, which is what happens when you sign 16 essentially outfield players with another

being a long snapper. Notre Dame met a lot of needs, didn't meet all of them, but one of the

stories I'll be working on is sort of how Notre Dame turns its operation into more of that

top five, top 10 regular outfit where we're seeing a couple of Chris Tyrese, maybe two or three

Michael Mayors, you know, the equivalent of a Jordan Johnson or two or three on defense.

And in what's something that essentially was down to how do we find more Kyle Hamilton's earlier

that I think is sort of Notre Dame's outlook there.

And that's a story that, you know, sort of popped into my head and burrowed in there after

Brian Kelly talked about recruiting rankings 48 hours before the Camping World Bowl.

So that story will finally run next week, maybe at the end of this week.

And we'll mind that a little bit more on next week's episode of the Shamrock.
