I am her host, Brad, and I'm welcoming you to this bad things of summer event.

Now, I know your first question is, what on earth is a virtual podcast event?

Fair enough.

Well, there's lots of podcast events and conferences and, you know,

collectives that go on throughout the world.

And they are very exciting and very much fun to go to.

They are so extremely expensive.

They require travel. They require waiting in line. And typically you only get to see

podcasts that appear in the top 100 of your favorite charting website. You don't get to hear from

the underdogs, the little guys, the independent podcasts like us.

So that's what we've done here. Seven podcasts have bonded together, kind of like an Avengers

like moment, to present you with this wonderful show today. We've stripped away all the corporate,

all the money, all the greed,

and we're giving you fresh new, interesting topics, ideas, and takes on everything.

And the best thing of all is you get to listen to this festival without other people around you.

You can go to your bathroom whenever you want.

You can hit pause and go make a turkey sandwich whenever you want.
