Mayacolp is taking a break this week to celebrate Passover and Easter.

While every Seder is special, this one is extra special meaning for me this year. Quite simply, it's my first as a free

man. I can't help but relate to Passover's larger ritual meaning as a celebration of the Jews

release from bondage and their exodus from Egypt. All of you know my story by now, but few of you know that the origins of this show and my transformation from Trump cult member to fighter for the Trump resistance began on Passover.

It was nearly a year into my 36-month sentence at the Otisville Federal Correctional Facility and was waiting to be taken to solitary confinement,

known in prison parlance as the shoe or the segregated housing unit for some bullshit situation that took place.

Prison is nothing more than a series of deprivations and degradation meant to break your spirit and mind and my trip to solitary was

punishment for a verbal fight that turned barely physical that I'd gotten into with

another inmate over the phone I mean where I thought that he had said something

that he didn't I was after all writing what would become my book disloyal, my memoir of my years working for

Donald Trump as his most trusted lawyer, soldier, and fixer. At any moment, I knew prison

guards would arrive to pack up my belongings. That's what they do. And often, just to fuck

with you, they toss out everything in your cell, claiming it was contraband. Hidden in my cell happened to have also been a 500-odd-page preliminary manuscript for the tell-all that I decided to ultimately call disloyal. Now, if the guards found that manuscript, I'd be completely fucked.

First off, these guys all love Trump.

They were big Trump toadies, so who knows what they would do to me personally.
