Life doesn’t operate on a fixed timeline. It works in its own unique way. For a lot of us, 2020 has been a whirlwind of emotions. We’ve all had to do some shifting, evolving, and adjusting for our goals. As I’ve had meetings with other women in the business world--each of us in different industries, with different belief systems, religions and races--we’ve had some great conversations around COVID-19, and the Black Lives Matter movement. One of my good friends Myoshia, shared some excellent points that I wanted to share with you in today’s episode. I will discuss three steps to committing to change and why you should allow yourself and others to evolve. I’ve appreciated this time of being able to learn, grow, and change alongside my community, and I’m excited for you to listen to this episode.

0:36.5 | something different. Something that I don't |
0:40.2 | normally do. Normally, when I sit down and I have a podcast episode planned, I usually have really |
0:46.9 | steady notes. I have a good idea of where the episode's going to go and what I want to talk about. |
0:53.3 | I have my research in place. |
0:54.8 | And then I just dive into it. And I go off script and it's not all scripted out or anything, |
0:59.2 | but I have an idea of where I'm going. And today I don't. And here's why. I've just decided to |
1:05.5 | sit down with you and really just talk through what's happening in the world right now. Because I feel like we're |
1:13.4 | talking a lot about leadership, obviously throughout this season. The whole season is about leading |
1:18.7 | with confidence. And I feel like right now, there are so many people who are saying, I don't know |
1:25.5 | what to say. I don't know what to do. How does this work? |

1:34.0 | that term uncertain times. Let's just stop using that because here's the truth. All times are |
1:40.9 | uncertain. Your future is never scripted out. It's never set in stone. Times are always |
1:47.6 | uncertain. So by calling these times uncertain times, it just adds to that shaky foundation that |
1:56.2 | you're feeling. Let's just call it what it is. These times where things are shifting and evolving and changing, |
