Politico's Nurdcast. We have a special treat for you this week. I know a lot of you

started listening to us in the election year and since then we've been talking a lot about

what's going on on the hill and in the policy world but we actually have

elections coming up that's right there's a big house special election coming up in

Georgia in a couple weeks and that is the source of our first data point this week.

That's $8.3 million.

The amount of money Democrat John Osoff has raised, which is worrying Republicans even though

this race is taking place in a pretty typically Republican district,

Georgia's sixth, which was vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.

We're going to talk about that.

Also on the docket today, 66th, that's the number of days that Steve Bannon, the White House Chief

strategist spent on the National Security Council, controversially added in January, and then

taken off this week. And we're going to talk about how that's emblematic of broader shifts in the White House

power structure happening at a critical time in foreign policy.
