This week I was walking through my kitchen when I got a news alert on my phone.

It read there has been a mass shooting at an elementary school in Texas.

Now when you saw that you probably felt sad and angry and felt empathy for the victims.

But I felt a little different.

I felt scared.

At that moment I had two kids had an elementary school in Texas.

Now while rationally I knew the odds of our school being affected were low, you can't

help but have that moment where your heart skips a beat.

I mean it's just natural.

And no parent should have to go through that.
