I think it's estimated that roughly 35% of the workforce relied on a gig job for primary or secondary income last year, which is double what it used to be just five years ago.

I mean, this makes sense, especially as the workforce recently experienced a major shift in preference to more flexible working arrangements.

4.3 million people in the U.S. quit their jobs in August.

That's astronomical. It's not only the most on record, but it represents 3% of the total workforce.

So what that means is that employees not only need to compete for finding new workers,

but they have to be competing to keep existing ones from leaving.
