tell us a bit about bail and parole and how they're important to the justice system. Also more about some craziness going on in

Western Australia but first up I interviewed Jeremy Mespiro from Mespiro legal in regards to bail and parole.

As we often see, those accused of a crime will either be held in remand or let out on bail and those convicted may be let back into the

community on parole before the full term of their sentence is finished so

let's get stuck into it.

Hi Islanders tonight I'm going to talk with Sydney lawyer Jeremy Masparo

and the topic will be bail and parole.

As you well know, often those charged with crimes will get bail before the trial and if convicted

may also get parole for good behavior, which means they're let out early.

Sometimes offenders get lenient sentences, get out and commit the same crimes or worse escalate them. So hopefully tonight

Jeremy can shed some light on what bail and parole are, why they exist and

how important it is in the justice system.
