| 0:14.8 | In this edition, we're going to take a deeper dive into our visit there in the aftermath of the deadly tornadoes that struck the state, |
| 0:21.0 | talking to victims, as well as organizations looking to help. Like I told many of you, |
| 0:25.5 | you see the worst case scenario for so many people who've lost everything, but you also sometimes |
| 0:30.9 | out of these tragedies see the best of humanity. And so we'll be having a number of those |
| 0:35.1 | conversations today. We had the opportunity recently to travel to London, Kentucky. |
| 0:39.2 | That is where a powerful EF4 tornado, that is a tornado that's between 170 and 200 miles per hour, |
| 0:45.5 | carved a 50-mile-plus path through southeastern Kentucky. |
| 0:49.4 | It took place late at night on May 15th, just about midnight. |
| 0:52.5 | And sadly, because of that timing, because |
| 0:54.2 | a variety of reasons, 19 people were killed, dozens, injured, hundreds of homes and businesses |
| 0:59.6 | destroyed. Just one day after the tornado, we flew to the zone along with staff workers from |
| 1:05.2 | Matthew 25 Ministries. That's an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization. |
| 1:10.3 | Matthew 25 Ministries works with companies like Procter & Gamble to distribute daily health, hygiene, |
| 1:15.4 | and cleaning essentials to communities in need. |
| 1:17.7 | Matthew 25 leads Procter & Gamble's disaster relief operations in the U.S. |
| 1:21.8 | and facilitate some of their global product distribution as well. |
| 1:25.0 | Part of this work is what's called the Tide Loads of Hope Program, which is |
| 1:28.4 | something P&G launched a decade ago to help provide communities in the U.S. impacted by natural |
| 1:33.6 | disasters with clean clothes that are washed, dried, and folded free of charge. So we want to thank |
