We are brothers and we all grew up watching Star Trek and science fiction. We just got done watching Star Trek The Next Generation season Season 1 episode 7, called Justice.

Just as a summary for everyone who hasn't seen it in a long time.

The episode is about a planet called Edo and they got caught up by the system of justice there and there was a conflict between

the Prime Directive and the Edo's justice and they found themselves having the power to override the Edo to protect Wesley Crusher, but they ran into an entity that referred to itself as God in space.

And so there was a conflict that really just an episode about the

collision of justice, law, and the concept of God.

I'm curious, Scott, we'll start with you with you what is your like just give a brief

snapshot of your reaction to that episode? Well I'm going to say I you know I thought I

had seen every episode and it wasn't until probably halfway

into it that I realized that I had seen that one but it was just so long ago I

told you before I don't watch many of the first season or even

second season episodes as you know that's going back to revisit Star Trek.

Yeah to me it didn't get good good into like the third and fourth season. But yeah, I mean it was it was interesting. Obviously the whole concept, the whole notion of, you know, really how they're, you know, at least from a storyline perspective they're trying to present

it's sort of the innocence of a set of creatures who are on this world who are really not cognizant or not

realizing that the God that they worship is a God of well I should say a God but

basically some creatures of technology right

but yet they're being you know they're worship worshiping it as a god and then they

have their laws that they have based around that concept or that notion of making sure that they

please that got.

And I, you know, just the whole, there's a lot in that show.

I think you had mentioned somebody had said that it was not necessarily one of the higher rated shows and I could see that

But from yeah at the surface level but underneath yeah, it's some deep stuff they took, all right, so that's why I chose it to start here, because I'm like, okay, now this is perfect for you, me, and Robin.
