Do we need to do like an intro or something?

Hello and welcome to Science Sort of.

All right, so we're here live, or at least it's live for Ryan and I. I suppose it's always live for us, but we're actually here together sitting side by side

in a bar in San Francisco called Yancey Saloon in the Inner Sunset.

And we're doing our own science experiment tonight.

This will be a shorter show because we don't have at least three paleo pals.

And in this short episode, we're going to compare different beers on tap versus their taste in a can or in the bottle.

You might remember one of our earlier episodes, I think it was episode 33 with Charles Bamforth,

where we talked a lot about macro brews.

And one of the points Charles made about the macro brews is that

people give them a lot of flack for not being as good. But one of the things they can pride

themselves on is consistency. And you know you're going to get the same beer every time you drink

and I thought, well, let's put that to the test. Indeed. What if it's not true? So yeah, Charles

Bamforth is a professor emeritus at UC Davis, and he studies brewing?

Is that the thing?

Brewing in beer science, yeah.

So we're doing our own little bit of beer science tonight.
