Well, it's like you were saying, you know, everybody, all the Gentiles know about Easter, Easter Sunday, resurrection, you know.

You grew up as a kid.

I used to get a chocolate Easter bunny.

It was always a big deal.

And everybody dressed up real nice for church.

I was Anglican Episcopalian, right?

And it was always a high energy day.

But, of course, the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

What most people miss, as you pointed out, is the Passover lamb. Jesus is fulfilling a type that is occurring

at Passover. There's three feasts of Israel. Each one is prophetic. Each one discusses a phase of the redemptive

plan of God. Passover, the Jews are discovering and rehearsing how God deliver them out of the

land of Egypt, brought them into the promised land. And it's a celebration of the night in which

the Jewish people were huddled together in houses where the blood was on the doorposts and the lentils.

Let's see you take a look at this. You put the blood on the doorposts, you know, boom, boom, and the lintel, boom. What does that make?

That's the sign of the cross. The blood's dripping down here.

And everyone inside is under the blood and protected.

When death came and judgment came, it passed over those houses.

Not because there were Jews, but because they were under the blood. Important distinction.

God made a distinction between the Egyptians and the Jews based on the blood, not based upon

their ethnicity. The Jews were in those houses observing God's warning, applying the blood.
