A cold cloud of breath puffed out from between Ryan's lips, as his feet crunched across the snow.

He regretted not putting a coat on, despite the short distance between his house, and he looked

down at the package in his hands, Colleen Bennett's house. When he arrived, he rang the doorbell

and gave a few quick knocks for good measure. This package was heavy. What the hell was in there?

Ryan watched as the door opened, and a beautiful blonde woman appeared through the glass of the storm door. Hi, she said questioningly.

Oh, uh, hi. Ryan held out the package. Somehow this made it to my front porch. Oh my God, Colleen cried. Thank you. I was so

worried about this. She looked up at Ryan, who was visibly shivering, and then down at her watch. Do you want to come inside? Ten minutes later, Ryan was sitting on

Colleen's couch with a cup of coffee. He noticed that the place was strewn with moving boxes.

When he asked her about it, Colleen said she wasn't moving, but her husband was. They were separating,

so she had been dividing up their things. It's really hard, Colleen said softly, giving Ryan

a sad smile. She moved a little closer to him on the couch and put her mug down on the cluttered coffee

table.

No one tells you how lonely it will be.

Ryan knew exactly what she meant.

His divorce had only been finalized last autumn.

Before he knew what was happening, Colleen was holding his face in her hands, turning him toward her.

Her lips were soft as she kissed him, letting out a faint, adorable moan as she did so.

Colleen giggled.
