Tell us about the decision to appoint a special prosecutor in this case to look into President Biden's actions. Is the rationale here similar?

It is very similar when Garland appointed the first special counsel to examine documents found at President Trump's home in Florida.

He made it very clear that he was doing this because of Trump's stated candidacy for the 2024 White House and Biden's likely candidacy.

And so that political calculus is definitely in play in his decision to appoint Rob Herr special counsel.
