I'm Taylor Vipos hosting this and today joining me from the New York Jets,

Chaz Surat, who was a two-time first-team all-ACC

and a first-team All-American linebacker at Carolina. I want to go all the way back first.

Growing up, what was the first moment for you when you realized that you could play football

at a high level?

I think growing up for me, probably after my freshman year, going to my sophomore year,

I got an offer from North Carolina.

That was my first offer.

I didn't really think my older brother went D2, so that's kind of where my mindset was, to be honest.

And then played with my freshman year and got some calls, and then North Carolina offered me first.

And I was like, oh, well, I guess I'm going to end up playing, you know, Power 5.

So that was kind of the mindset after I got that first offer.

You mentioned Carolina was your first offer.

What made you ultimately commit to North Carolina and want to play football for the Tarils?

Yeah, ultimately, I grew up a Carolina fan.
