Hello, hello, hello, hello.

0:14.6

Welcome to a very special edition of the Nauty but Nice show.

0:18.1

I'm Rob Shooter, and I'm joined today by Miguel Del Morrell. Before he

0:22.5

jumps in, let me just tell you a little bit about him. He's a really great jeweller, a fashion

0:27.9

jeweler for many, many years, and he figured out that there's a need out there, apparently. He'll

0:33.1

explain if this is true, but there's a need out there for our dogs, our puppies, to look fabulous, too. So he started up, big dog chains. Miguel, are you there? I am right here, Rob. Or should I say woof-w-wof? Hello, my friend. How you doing? Thank you for the, thank you for doing the show. So on the weekends, we like to do these special episodes. We are a celebrity show, so don't worry, everybody, we're not going to be selling your dog collars here, unless you can get one if you want, I suppose.

1:14.6

Miguel, how did all this start for you? So essentially, it all started, you know, I'm a jeweler, like you said. And one day I would bring my dog to work. So I adopted a pit bull named Maui. She's a sweetheart. She's absolutely beautiful. and she would come to work with me sometimes. And one day I was making a custom caller for a great client, a giant chain.

2:01.6

I said, wow, this guy looks like a chin is chain. But my dog's going to look amazing. Before I delivered it to him, I said, I put it on the dog. And wow, it looked amazing. So after I delivered the chain to the client, I said, I need to make one for Maui. So we made a collar for Maui. We did it. So we really revolutionized the dog collar industry. So there was nothing like this around before us, right? So who did you think look better in it? Your client or your dog? Definitely my dog. My client looked like a giant gold chain. So obviously, Maui, initially she got it in stainless steel. The dog doesn't care about having the chain like us, you know? Right. If you had a giant gold chain, Rob, I think, I'm not sure that would suit you so well. But if you had a big dog, it's amazing their reaction. So you would look like it, but your dog looks actually amazing. And so... Can a dog look dushy in a chain? Is there ever too much?

2:05.6

It's never too much and that's the beauty of it. See, for you it's too much, but for the dog it's not too much.

2:11.6

And that's really the beauty of it. So, so in the end, I learned a lot of things doing this, you know, a chain for a human is a fashion statement. It's a decoration. And a collar on a dog is much more. It's actually a tool to restrain the dog. If this dog wants to get away and chase that squirrel, you need to be able to stop him. So it took us a lot of development to make it quite a lot stronger than the human chain. Oh, it's amazing. So initially it was just to look great,

2:35.1

and then you figured out this could actually have a function too. You're right. There's nothing

2:38.9

functional about jewelry on people. I used to work for a ton of celebrities. We talk about it on the show,

2:44.3

and I've been lucky enough to go to the Met Ball and the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

2:48.7

And a lot of those celebrities borrowed that jewelry. And to be honest, they can't wait to take it off. It's always a bit too heavy. It's a pain in the bottom to wear. Do the dogs feel like that or no? So I hear that all the time. It's too heavy for the dog. It's a big chain, right? It is a big chain. But the dog's neck is nothing like ours. They're solid muscle. You should see the dogs that wear these chains. You know, they're really something else. So absolutely not. And it makes it strong enough to hold them. You know, we're the only color in the world, big dog chains that has a lifetime warranty. You try to keep a leather. warranty. Imagine it. You can hand that down

3:24.3

multiple lifetime. So it's made of 316 stainless steels. It's super strong. It's never going

3:28.9

to rust or corrode or anything. And it's actually really comfortable. And these dogs are so

3:32.8

muscular and big, they can totally support the weight. It's nothing for them. I love these

3:37.1

ideas in life that you stumble into. Like this was on a business plan. You and your

3:42.5

partners didn't sit around thinking, how can we get rich? It was just a spur of the moment,

3:47.9

a aha moment, that's what Oprah calls them, that changed your life. Exactly. Exactly. That's the

3:53.0

best way to say it. And so I would just bring my dog to work. I tried it on. I went to the dog

3:57.1

park and that's really what sold me. So I showed up at the dog park with my dog wearing this giant cubitling color, and everyone was like, oh my God, what is this? I said, well, and at that moment, I realized I got to do something. There's nothing like this available. It's just not a thing. And being a
