The Last week on the Twilight Zone podcast, we began our epic two-hour conversation with the author of Visions from the Twilight Zone, Arlen Schumer.

Now this week I'm going to play the second half of that interview, but I'll just read out a

couple of comments that people have made and some communications since part one.

long, I appreciate that. A long time friend of the show Adam Cook on Twitter said

Mr Schumer in your interview said that if Alfred Hitchcock had made an episode of the

Twilight Zone he'd have made mirror image. He was spot on. One of the 17 Alfred Hitchcock Presents

episodes directed by Hitchcock himself was called the case of Mr. Pelham. In this episode,

an exact copy of the titular character was taking over his life. This is one of the very few Alfred Hitchcock presents episodes

with an unexplained sci-fi element to it.

It is a classic for any Hitchcock or Twilight Zone fan.

Another friend of the show, Mike Lewis Lewis sent me an email and he said, Dear Tom, I was really pleased to hear that Arland Schumer was going to be on your show.

I too have had his book for many years and I like to open it up late at night and just get lost in the imagery inside.

I was delighted to hear that Arland's hoping to release an updated version and I have my fingers crossed that he'll be able to get it published.

Arland's commentary on the Twilight Zone ranges from intelligent observations about the subtext of each show to excellent analysis of the visual style that only the Twilight Zone has.

I love the Twilight Zone podcast and it was a joy hearing you two speaking together.
