Hey everyone, thanks for tuning in to this special announcement.

Hello y'all.

We'll keep this short and sweet, but we do have some news we want to share with you.

We wanted to let you know that we're going to be doing something that we haven't done since we started the podcast back in November of 2012.

We're going to take some time off.

We've been struggling lately to balance the demands of life and work in these trying times while still trying to find the time and energy to do the podcast.

And it's been taking a toll on us.

So much so that we feel the best thing for us to do is step back and take a break from the show.

When it comes right down to it, we just haven't had any gas left in the tank lately when it comes to working on the podcast.

We've both just been feeling exhausted lately.

We both feel a bit beat up by real life.

While we both thankfully have kept working right through the ongoing troubles, it's taken a toll on us as both our jobs have been affected.

Tracy works for a county agency that provides assistance for early childhood education programs.

And what's been happening with teachers and kids and schools has been stressful and is only getting more so with the reopening of schools drawing closer.

And then with my job at a local hospital, well, that just continues to be impacted in major ways by the ongoing COVID crisis.

And to be honest with what's been happening with our nation and the crisis in leadership and the unbelievably sad state of affairs that unfortunately we anticipate is only going to get worse between now and the election in November, we found that's also taking an emotional toll.

So all of that's to say that for a variety of reasons, we're just feeling kind of burnout and need a break.

What we're going to do is step away from working on the regular episodes for the next four to six weeks.

Although we do have a couple of members episodes in the hopper that we can release during that time.

One on John Reynolds being secretly engaged at the time of his death at Gettysburg and the other about the Confederates kidnapping of blacks during their invasion of Pennsylvania.

So while this totally isn't a plug for joining the Strafebrogade, we will point out that there's over a hundred members episodes there on Patreon.
