We're posting a brief announcement to the feed here because even though we're pretty transparent

on social media, we know the bulk of you don't follow us there. So this is the only way to be sure

you'll get an important update like the one I'm about to share. Also, following us on social media

would be irrelevant this week anyway, because I haven't been online much. And here's why.

I suffered a serious injury to my left shoulder in a karate class this past Tuesday.

Kimpo more specifically. And it was one of those things where I definitely felt it when it happened,

but I thought it wasn't a big deal. And then by a few days later, I was in a kind of pain

that I've not known before. And in fact, I still am. The good news is I've had x-rays and an ultrasound,

and it's just a really bad strain. And it's going to heal in a few weeks. But the bad news is,

the writing and show prep that was supposed to happen this week didn't, because I couldn't see

straight and wasn't sleeping pretty much at all. So for the first time in the history of

astonishing legends, we've had to cancel the release of a scheduled show. However, the topic,

a show on Resurrection Mary and other hitchhiking ghosts, is still up next. And barring further

unforeseen mishaps, it'll be out in about a week. Being in pain and hearing from friends

reminds you of your own mortality and how lucky one is to have friends at all. To that end,
