Hello everyone and welcome back to the early retirement podcast. Today's announcement is special,

0:05.5

and it's special because I was recently on a podcast known as the Ready for Retirement Podcast.

0:12.1

It is one of the top retirement podcasts in the country with tens of thousands of downloads every

0:17.5

single month, and it is hosted by my partner James Cannell.

0:21.9

James Cannell and I work very closely together.

0:24.6

He is a mentor of mine and someone I look up to more than the world when it comes to

0:29.7

retirement planning and also just life.

0:32.5

investments or specifically about taxes. What we talked about is what are the four steps so that you

1:08.5

can achieve an early retirement? Because there are additional

1:12.2

considerations if you're not going the traditional retirement route. At age 65, if you wanted to

1:18.7

retire then, you might not even know when you want to retire. But assume you do want to retire at

1:23.0

age 65. Well, if that's when Medicare hits, what if you want to retire earlier? Okay, where is health

1:28.9

insurance going to come from? How should you best go about getting that? What if you want to

1:33.9

retire before age 59 and a half? That's when traditionally people want to retire. They want to

1:40.3

retire after that age because you can start to withdraw from retirement accounts

1:44.6

and live off of that income without paying any excess taxes or penalties.
