Hello, all about Agatha listeners. You know when I start speaking and there's no jaunty theme music that either I'm engaging in some self-promotion or something quite serious has happened. And unfortunately, as most, if not all of you are aware, something quite serious has happened in my area here in Los Angeles. There are still a series of fires being battled here,

and it has upended all our lives, which is why I have not delivered you my next episode this

weekend, as I was supposed to do. So I apologize for that, but I know that you will all understand.

My main purpose in sending out this message is that I've heard from a number

of you asking if I'm okay. And I figured I may as well send out a message to all of you just to let

you know that, yes, thankfully, I am okay, my family is okay. We are here taking matters day by day

and grateful for how lucky we've been compared to many other people we know who

have lost their homes and all of their material possessions. And as awful as that is,

times like these are such a reminder that relationships are so important, the family and

friends who we have in our lives. And that includes all of you, whatever this weird

parasycial friendship is that we all have together. So I wanted to honor that by just letting

you all know I'm okay. Thank you so much to those of you who reached out to me directly.

And while I'm here, while I have you, I figured I may as well throw some links in the show notes

I've got links to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the California Community Foundation's Wildlife Recovery,

the American Red Cross, and the Salvation Army. And just so you know, those are all

organizations that the LAFD, the Los Angeles Fire Department, directly suggested that people

should donate to if they were looking to make some sort of charitable contribution in the wake of
