Hello my friends, this is Sally Clarkson with at home with Sally and friends and I'm so happy that you join me today.

Those of you who are normally in my arena and listen to my podcasts every week know that I just love you. I feel like we are close friends. I feel like I have so many kindred spirits out there.

And as you know I just launched my book Awakening Wonder, Open Your Child's Heart to the Beauty of Learning last week. And oh my goodness, I want to tell all of you, I wish I could write you all or at least have you over for a cup of tea.

Anyway, I've been very very encouraged and I'm so privileged to be a part of this community. And I know we put out our videos, we kind of recorded them quickly and didn't know what they would do.

And I've been getting lots of notes from so many of you that you have really been enjoying them. So just know that we're going to have them out there for another week.

Hi, Sally. And I'm one of your fans.

And I'm one of yours. Well, I just going to quickly, well, first of all, tell everybody a little bit about yourself because your whole story to me is pretty amazing.

Well, I am a longtime home school mom. We decided to homeschool in 1980 and I have eight now grown children and 19 grandchildren.

And I am also the president and executive director for the Home Educators Association of Virginia, which is the State Home School Association here in Virginia.

Well, and it's amazing. And I just, it really is. I have to tell you a funny story. One of my favorite things about being involved in whole heart ministries and in speaking and bogging and all that is that the Lord knows that you along the way need some angel friends.

And so a number of years ago, a long time ago, our family had moved again as everybody knows our family moved a lot.

And so an old friend of mine who has also worked with us in ministry and stuff decided we would take a historical trip to the East Coast and visit Washington DC and visit Williamsburg and all these different places.

And so I just kind of sent a letter out in the cyberspace and I said, hey, my friends, my family and my friend and I, nine of us in one little car for about, I don't know, 5,000 miles.

And I said, we're coming to the East Coast and we would be happy to meet with you along the way thinking, play said, if you can find a friend in every single town, then at least I'll know you're safe.

So sweet Anne wrote back to me and she said, well, I would love for you to come speak to my support group and not only that, I'll keep you in my house. Nine of us.
