And I want you to stay with me because I'm going to tell you a personal story, story about

me and my family and our beautiful guide dog Kenny and his retirement and our new guide

dog summit who helps my husband every day be independent, get to work, be a second set

of eyes, and it's a really important story America because there are so many veterans

out there who have given so much to their country and my husband's just one of thousands

who have been wounded and who come back to their country, you know, sometimes broken,

sometimes it's physical, sometimes you don't see it, it could be PTSD, post-traumatic stress

disorder, it could be something that they're living with inside and maybe sometimes they

just feel alone.

I can tell you this, my husband Marty is my greatest hero.

He is one of the most, you know, regardless of me being married to I think the greatest

man on the planet, even if I wasn't, I would look up to him anyways because he is somebody

who took probably one of the worst things that can happen to a person, one of the top things,

loss of eyesight, your world completely changes, it's upside down.

Here's a guy that could do anything great shooter, amazing sportsman, used to coach baseball

with his kids, always was there for anybody who needed him, loved to drive, loved his motorcycle,

his victory motorcycle, and all of that was just taken away from him in one instant, in

one moment, in one moment on the battlefield, in eastern Afghanistan, fighting terrorists

to free our country and to ensure that those terrorists would not come here and do the
