Seriously, how long have you been turning on your radio to find out what shenanigans we're going to be discussing underway?

I don't know, I mean, obviously for the deployment of the word rubbish, I'm speaking exclusively about the output on LBC between 10 o'clock in the morning and 1 o'clock in the afternoon on weekday mornings.

But seriously, how long have you been plugged in to the news, to current affairs?

When did you start preferring speech radio to music radio?

When did you start thinking, actually, do you know what?

It's not really, really boring, the stuff that mum and dad talk about over dinner.

It's quite important. Maybe you've got a bit obsessed at some point. Maybe you're still a little

bit ambivalent, but you've just sort of developed a sense that knowledge is power, that forewarned,

is forearmed. And how much of what you've heard and what we've discussed together and what

you've listened to and what I've

spouted, how much really can be quite neatly pigeonholed or categorised? I mean, you can file it

under, oh, here we go again, slagging off Brexit, or here we go again, slagging off the Tories,

or here we go again, slagging off the last leader of the Labour Party, or here we go again, slagging off the right-wing media. And it's usually quite teamy, right? T-E-A-M-Y. Might not be a word. Don't know. If it is, it'll probably pop up on Wordl soon, knowing my luck. Because I don't know how to file what's happening at the moment.

How does this far? Particularly, given how much of our conversations over the last few years, have been dedicated to chronicling the really tragic tribalism of British politics.
