I don't know if you've ever thought about this, but here's what's true.

Every day, you and I are offered thousands of choices.

We can be grateful or grumpy, generous or greedy.

We can pray and intercede or we can complain and judge.

But don't you and I, I think it's true for both of us, right?

We want to be grateful people.

We want to speak life.

But if you look around, it seems that the raging current can pull us away from those kinds of things.

You actually have to swim upstream to follow the ways of the Lord these days.

In Deuteronomy 30 versus 1920, it says, today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses.

Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Wow, think about that.

All the creation is watching. The cloud of witnesses are cheering us on. In fact, there's another

place in scripture that says the heavens gasp when they see that we drink from muddy puddles

when a wellspring has been provided. So hear that in that context. I call on heaven and earth to

witness the choice you make, oh, that you would choose life so that you and your descendants

might live. And this is another point of that verse, that there are ripple effects to your choices,

to your perspectives on a spiritual level, on a physical level, even on a
