lightheadedness, ashen skin, tingling nerve endings, etc. The first clue he had that he might be getting sick came Wednesday morning when he tried for one of the few times in the past

day to urinate and had noticed that it was extremely painful. Of course nobody aboard

Apollo 13 had been doing much urinating lately and the reason was simple. They hadn't been doing much drinking. As the

tailmuse had told the astronauts during the earliest hours of the mission's crises, water was
