Summary

They've only been a democracy since the late 1980's. Their President two nights ago declared martial law, and the military was sent out to the streets and surrounded the parliament. But the South Korean people and the members of the Assembly took to the streets too. And said no. And martial law was lifted. Democracy, for now held. South Korea gave us a reminder of how to defend democracy. Will we listen?
