It has been fun to watch your mastery of subject matter and how it is that you get into things.

And I am told that I'm going to see a bit of a mirror here, that you and I have a lot of similarities

in how it is that were built.

So welcome to South Beach Sessions and I will say right off the top,

I will thank you because this is an extraordinarily difficult time for you. You just lost your

father James. You, you, I'm sorry, I'm deeply sorry, and thank you for making the time for us because

you're the executive producer of the project of a lifetime on Hulu, Cl about the Clippers story that you covered better than

anyone, Donald Sterling.

So I will just ask you off the top.

How are you doing?

Yeah, you know, I'm okay.

You and I have both been, we covered athletes, right, where a parent dies or some horrible thing happens to them.

And they give an interview where they go, you know, I know my dad would have wanted me to play or they have some amazing game and they dedicated to a grandma or dad or whoever it was and obviously that you know my dad passed away on the 29th of May so it was you know I had a couple of days to get

through it and and if stuff would have happened you know if this would have happened and then the

premier was the two nights later I wouldn't be able to do it. But I had four or five days to kind of shiva in my own way,

see my friends and be around people who love me and come from me

and I wasn't alone. And I really felt like very quickly and early on like my dad was like my biggest fan like I got to show him the show and he was in the hospital like he was sick for six months so this was you
