Play Nobody, Bill, you were very angry two or three weeks ago

when we had the first flurry of coaching fires.

Are you okay with it being the start of firing season now?

It's spooky time, that's my two-year-old says. It's

Halloween time so I know that firing season is supposed to start about a week

before Thanksgiving but much like the oh by the way the first Christmas commercial I saw on television was for Rent-A-Center,

which makes a lot of sense because you got to put down a lot of payments and stuff.

But if firing season has to start, I would rather it be in October than September, right?

That's progress.

I guess that counts as progress.

My wife, by the way, went to some fabric place yesterday. She's making a bunch of rice crispy treats

with with special Halloween decorations on them for the five-year-olds class for

next Monday. She said the Halloween stuff is mostly gone

Thanksgiving is on clearance and Christmas is everywhere.

So that's awesome. So this is I guess Christmas mirrors coaching season in that

it just starts stupid early and drowns out other fun stuff

that we could be doing instead. Two things that actually really really push

stupid season up this season we're gonna talk about in this show. One would be the University

of Southern California Trojans because they have basically an ex-interum, possibly still interim

in the eyes of a new AD head coach, and then Texas.
