Just after Proverbs, you'll find the Book of Ecclesiasties.

In the last part of the book, Chapter 11, beginning at verse 9 through Chapter 12,

verse 7, we have some advice that Solomon passes on. Written all across this advice is an epitaph that must have sounded like this.

Don't be foolish as I was foolish.

If I had it all to do over again, this is the way it would be. You see, this man

being dead still speaks. And I find in these verses, Chapter 11,

verse 9 through Chapter 12,

7, four important pieces of advice

that this old rebel leaves for us to apply.

I believe the first part of the verse is sarcastic.

It's written in a sort of a satire.

Rejoys young man during your childhood and let your heart be pleasant during the days of

young manhood.

Follow the impulses of your heart and the desires of your eyes.
