And Woj. You know, there's a little thing that is happening this week that people are going to be talking about.

But I feel like there's a lot of attention being played to one person's perspective on the state of our union.

And you brought up a wonderful idea for today's show, which is tell the people.

Well, you know, by the time you all are hearing this, President Biden has already delivered his State of the Union on Tuesday night.

So I thought, Daniel, how about the State of the Union according to the rest of us?

I'm talking about not white folks, not powerful rich gatekeepers, not incestuous media

in the Beltway. I'm talking about black and brown folks who represent, by the way, the base

of the Democratic Party and who have an ear to the ground when it comes to communities of color

workers. You know, the folks who

have their textbooks being banned, who are having their stories being silence, who have their

ovaries being attacked.

What about the state of the union according to the rest of us?

What a novel idea.

Because, you know, what has really, let's start with the media for a moment.

Because I have a real anger for mainstream media that I try and express often on Twitter,

because that's where journalists are, which is the fact that,

you know, during the Trump administration and the Bush administration, for that matter,

but Trump in particular, all Donald Trump had to do was not shit himself and not, you know, talk his way into war on the night

of the State of the Union. And then you had folks like Van Jones of CNN saying, oh, my God,

he just became president of the United States tonight because Donald Trump was able to put two
