Are we going to check in with Bob Bassani?

Bob, what do you got on the floor?

Well, the important thing, of course, everybody very excited to meet the President-elect.

He walked around on the floor right behind us, shook hands with a number of the market makers and the traders here on the floor, Carl. And I think the important thing is other presidents have been

here before. President George W. Bush was here in January 2007 on the floor. I was here for that.

And before him, President Ronald Reagan came in 1985. President Reagan was the first sitting president to be at the New York Stock Exchange. I did have a chance to ask the President-elect about his tariff proposals. It's been quite a stirring Canada overnight about this. The Premier of Ontario has suggested that he may cut off energy supplies to the United States if the president-elect fully implements the tariffs

that he's proposed on Canada, which are 25%.

President-elect said to me that he hoped that it would not come to that.

I'm paraphrasing him right now, but implied somehow that negotiations were ongoing.

The president didn't walk right past me here and went right over to one of the senior

traders on the four of the New York stock chains. Let me bring in Peter Giacchi, who is the senior floor trader for Citadel Securities. Pete, you got elected here. The president came right over to you. What did the president say to you? So he told me how excited. The president-elect, excuse me. He told me how excited it was for him to be here. He told me that the country should look forward to big things and that he's excited about the four years ahead of him.

Now, you, of course, are a big promoter on the floor. I know you had a Citadel Securities jacket up. What did you do with that? Did you present it to the president? I did. so I told him as one of the greatest capitalists this country's has ever seen.

How could you not visit the New York Stock Exchange without having a Citadel Securities trader jacket?

And of course so many people were coming up to him discussing his plans for the economy saying go, go, go.

How do you think most people on the floor feel about the president's economic plan? The stock market's at a new high, of course, right now. And I know he has said he believes it's going to keep going that direction, but people on the floor here, I know they were coming up talking about what the market's going to do in 2025. Yeah, I mean, the New York Stock Exchange and the people that work down here are clearly President-elect Trump's audience. And he was excited to chat with them about the economy. He had the same message

to a lot of different people that it's going to be an exciting four years ahead of us.

Citadel security is, of course, one of the largest market makers in the world, biggest

designated market maker here on the floor. Your thoughts for 2025, now that we have you here, the IPO is a big IPO today on the NASDAQ, state of the markets right now very quickly. Yeah, I do think the markets are going to begin to open. I think, you know, it's the type of market where IPOs have, the pipeline has been backed up. I expect to see that open up in the first quarter and then definitely in the third and fourth quarter of the latter part of next year open up we've been waiting for the ipule market to open for a long time pete you and i have been talking about it for a year what why are what conditions are right for it to really expand in 2025 i think the market stabilized a little bit here i think it's had a little bit of a run but the market stabilized a bit here. I think there's obviously folks in the PE space and the VC space that are going to potentially look for some exits that they've held positions for quite a long time. And it might be time for them to look potentially to exit some of those positions. Pete Jocci, thanks for joining us. You got the photo with the president. Congratulations. Appreciate it, Bob.
