Four months ago, Carolina basketball felt like a program standing in the middle of an empty room.

And the end of the season rolls around make a coaching change.

No coach, no certainty.

Questions about the roster.

Questions about recruiting.

Everybody's on pins and needles about what the next step is going to be for the program and wondering whether or not

Carolina can even operate in the modern version of college basketball.

Now fast forward to today, it's June 1.

Not quite our Father's Day deadline, but Michael Malone has assembled his staff.

The roster is effectively complete. Alex Samadurov is headed to Chapel Hill.

And for the first time in a long time, we're not really talking about what Carolina might do.

We're talking about what Carolina has done.

Tonight's not about projections.

We're going to have a conversation about how this roster came together,

what we've learned about the guys building it,

and why the mood around Carolina basketball feels completely different than it just did even 90 days ago.
