It's not hard to be happy when things go our way, right?

Like when finances are plentiful, when our relationships are thriving,

when our health is better than ever, those are times when it's pretty easy to find happiness.

But what about the times in the seasons of loss and grieving and despair?

It's not easy to be happy in those times, but the good news is Jesus gives us

something far more valuable than happiness in those times. He offers us joy and

joy in the midst right in the middle of those seasons of loss and despair.

died. He said part of every misery is, so to speak, the misery's shadow a reflection, the fact that

you don't merely suffer, but have to keep on thinking about the fact that you suffer. I not only live each endless

day in grief, but live each day thinking about living each day in grief. We have all been there.
