Welcome back to Buckeye Talk. Steve, it means Nathan Bairg and Drew Gillis and

it's Safety Day. On Tuesday afternoon, we got a chance to talk with Perry

Aliano, the Safety's coach along with I think four of the safety's if I'm

counting correctly. Nathan Ranson, Jihad Carter, Sonny Stiles, and Cameron

Martinez. And Nathan, Perry Aliano is probably one of the more

enthusiastic personalities on the coaching staff, but it felt like when we got

a chance to talk to him today, we talked him for like five, 10 minutes. He was

doing everything he could possibly to not tell us anything other than trying to

keep it simple with how he talked about the safes. And even then he let some

stuff slip. What did we learn about the safety group after getting a chance to

see them practice on Thursday and then finally talking with the safes on

Tuesday afternoon? Yeah, I don't think it's really his responsibility to tell

us exactly what they're going to do, obviously. And you know, he didn't want to

get bogged down into starters and everything five days in. I understand that.

That's obviously more our job than his to try to scrutinize that and ahead of

September 2nd anyway, or ahead of, you know, their final preparation for the

season opener. So I think it's more instructive how he talks about guys and

which guys he is talking enthusiastically about and or maybe when he can explain why

guys are doing certain things. You know, why the sunny styles make more sense at

nickel? Why does Jihad Carter make more sense at a just or what did they find out

through that process? You know, him talking about this concept of looking for six
