So, by this time of the summer, there's usually some consensus around what the song of the summer is.

And while this is definitely not a normal summer, there have been a bunch of great songs

that are vying for the title.

Lady Gaga and Dua Lippa released huge dance singles.

DeBaby has been dominating the charts.

The weekend has gone viral.

And then, just recently, Cardi B and Megan the Stallion came out with WAP, which feels like the only song anyone can talk about.

In this episode, we're going to break down what makes a quote-unquote song of the summer,

and then we'll take a look at our favorites and why they're really resonating with us right now. I feel like we should just start with talking about what we mean when we say song of the summer.

Like, what do you usually associate with that phrase?

I mean, it's definitely

forced mentions of summer and summer stuff you know just just like drinking certain things

or i keep thinking about beaches or just like imagery of warm things.

I don't know.

Yeah, I mean, for me, I feel like the fun of the song of the summer is that it's just like,

it's pretty loose, right?
