In 1991, songwriters Hall of Fame, Desmond Child had his first and only top 40

hit as a performer by the barest possible margin.

The song Love on a Rooft rooftop peaked at number 40 and dropped out the very next week.

As the leader of the late 70s disco rock band Desmond Child and Rouge.

He'd release two flop albums and had one minor club hit with Our Love is Insane, a song he didn't even

sing.

His biggest success as a singer was probably landing the song Last of an ancient breed on the soundtrack of the cult film The Warriors.

Good movie. Good movie. Not widely appreciated in its time though. This is really sad. I hope this guy's career turns around this is a bummer
