Time is a long, long, long, long, long time before the dawn.

That is a little bit of a long time gone from the Crosby Stills and Nash Self-Titled

1969 debut album, one of the biggest selling albums of the 60s.

One David Crossby singing Harmony Vocals on that and wrote that particular song.

David, as many of you already know, died January 19th at age 81, a massive figure in popular music.

Really helped self create that sort of Laurel Canyon, California scene first with the birds and then with

Crosby Stills and Nash and then Crosby Stills and Nash and Young.

What a run.

Most people could say that and end their career after those three bands.

Well, if all he had on his CV is that he wrote eight miles high for the birds, I mean, what a song.

Well, not only that, I mean, McGuin gets a lot of props Roger McGuin, his partner in the birds,

gets a lot of credit for the solo and the jazzy, you know, 12 string guitar drone.

But you look at what Crosby's doing on rhythm guitar against what McGuin is playing.

It really makes the song in many ways.

Well, and Crosby Greg, you know, I dug deep into his history.
