of the Day history, which is nearly 20 years now.

And each day leading up to the launch of our new podcast, which comes to this feed on April 15th,

we're sharing our most downloaded Song of the day from each of the last 10 years.

So today we're focusing on the year 2017 when our most popular song was picked by

D.J. Kevin Cole and that track was Baby Love by West London

born Nila for Yanya. At the time she was just an up-and-coming artist who hadn't even released a full-length album,

and it feels like a lot has happened for her since then. She's released two LPs.

The most recent was Painless, which landed on the best albums of 2022 list for Pitch Fork,

NPR, and even here at K-E-X-P. It was our number 17 album that year on our list. We love Nila for Yanya. She's come to the

KEXP studio to record a session which you can check out on our YouTube channel
