For David Berkowitz, a 24-year-old living in New York City, this was his reality. From a young age, David struggled with schizophrenia,

antisocial behavior, and depression. As David grew older, it became harder and harder for him to resist these urges.

Voices in his head pressured him to act upon his darker desires to hunt and kill.

Fuelled by a sense of entitlement and rage towards women, David launched a one-year killing spree from 1976 to 1977.

With a 44 Magnum, David hunted young dark-haired women across the New York boroughs of the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn.

Lirking in the shadows, he crept up on his victim's cars on remote roads, parks, and Lover's Lanes.
