The ground towards the Poziers Ridge saw heavy fighting in the summer of 1916,

from a tragic cancelled British attack through to the Australian assault on Poziers village

and the arrival of the Canadians.

What can we find as we walk from La Boiselle to Poziers?

We're back with our now regular fortnightly episode of the Old Front Line, and I think having

an episode, a main episode, every two weeks, will continue for a little while yet.

I've got a busy period of battlefield tours coming up over the next few months,

covering locations both on the First and Second World War battlefields.

And aside from that, if I'm honest, I still haven't quite caught up from having COVID nearly two months ago.

And thanks to all of you who sent best wishes and kind

comments on social media about that so thank you for that I'm feeling a lot lot better back

to normal whatever normal is these days but I am still behind with planning and thinking about

the podcast and the episodes for the podcast, a lot of thinking

does go into it because there's never a script. I have a running order now so I don't kind of

shoot off all over the place. But because I don't use a script, I like to have some time to

think about what we're going to talk about in these episodes,

and I haven't had so much of that, certainly not as much as I would like.

But I do plan to have some interviews coming up with some interesting people.

So aside from the fortnightly main episodes, I'm hoping to get the old bonus episode in.

And of course, we will have our supporters evenings still every every month and we've got another one of those coming up i hope very very soon i've just

returned from a battlefield trip not to the battlefields of the great war but to some second

world war battlefields in italy to anzio and monte casino but of course the paths of all of these battlefields in Italy to Anzio and Monte Cassino.
