This was the project put together by British artist Jeremy Deller that featured groups of men

in World War I uniforms walking simply and silently through the cities of the UK.

These men just passed through train stations, malls and the like, like ghosts, saying nothing,

only handing out a white card when asked by passers-by.

These cards contained the name of a soldier killed on the 1st of July 1916,

and each man represented a soldier lost on that day.
