Summary
Years after hearing voices she had grown used to, something unexpected happened—a light in her room turned on by itself for the first time in a decade.
At first, she took it as a sign that whatever had once been with her was still there. But things didn’t stop there.
After moving in with a friend, she woke up one night to see someone standing silently in her doorway. She assumed it was her roommate—until the next morning, when she learned no one had come downstairs.
